i think burton wanted us to chuckle.
i only recently saw 16 candles (about 4 months or so). but it has been elevated to my fave john hughes (a place previously reserved for Pretty in Pink). i've never seen the breakfast club but someday it'll come my way.
i wonder what's happened to molly ringwald, the once teen queen of the 80s. forgotten.
i had a special spot for andrew mccarthy, i must admit.
but those 80s movies are so cozy compared the the 90s ones which look like they're a McG music clip.
if anyone ever comes across it, watch LOOKING FOR ALIBRANDI, it's an australian high school movie which is actually OK because it came from a REALLY GOOD BOOK (plus it was shot at my school. my year wasn't a part of the film because we had exams that week). of course, it's a chick flick.
